Boston, Massachusetts – March 29, 2023 – Starburst, the Data Lake analytics platform, announces a technology partnership with DataGalaxy, the industry’s first data knowledge catalog in Europe. As part of the partnership, the two vendors are launching a new integration linking DataGalaxy’s dictionary with Starburst and Trino, the open source distributed SQL query engine.
This integration, based on new Starburst and Trino connectors in DataGalaxy, makes it easier to access data by organizing it into domains and improves federated management of data from multiple sources. Data Products created through Starburst are referenced in DataGalaxy with all their metadata, allowing them to be searched and enriched with a business knowledge layer. Data Products can then be managed and used in Starburst.
